MongoDirector supports provisioning in both Public and Private Clouds. Public cloud support include AWS EC2, Rackspace and Joyent. Private cloud support includes CloudStack, OpenStack, VMware vCenter, Parallels Cloud and Microsoft System Center.

One click provisioning

Provision new MongoDB instances (including ReplicaSets and Shards) following a simple one click wizard. IT Providers can also define policies that standardize all deployments resulting in lower TCO.

Backup/Restore and Clone

All instances managed by MongoDirector can be backed up, restored or cloned using a single click.

Monitoring

Instances managed by MongoDirector are monitored using 10gen MMS (Mongo Monitoring Service) on an ongoing basis.
